Celebrate American Independence with us on Saturday, 6th July in Wellingborough when Northampton Concert Band perform an evening of classics from the best American composers and performers.

Music from: Miller, Sousa, Anderson, Bernstien, Sinatra, Morricone, Williams and more.

Saturday 6th July - 7pm. St Mary's Church, Knox Road, Wellingborough NN8 1HU

Treat the kids, and yourself, this weekend.

This Saturday the place to be is Spratton, just 5 miles north of Northampton at Spratton Hall School's theatre, The Hunter Hall, for an evening of movie music magic!

Featuring family favourites such as Harry Potter, The Lion King, Doctor Who, Aladdin, Star Trek and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The concert starts at 7:00pm and is due to finish around 9:30pm with an interval.

The Platinum award winning Northampton Concert Band will be performing an evening of movie music magic in support of Autism Concern on Saturday, June 22nd in ‘Family Film Favourites’.

The 40-strong group of woodwind and brass musicians will perform selections from Star Wars, Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, The Lion King, Harry Potter and many more.

In selecting the music for this concert Stephen Bell, Musical Director, said: “What better way to have a family night out than to enjoy music from some great family films, and at the same time supporting a charity that does so much to help support to families with autistic children and inform and educate others about autism.”

Julia Hardcastle, Managing Director, from Autism Concern, said “We’re proud to be working with Northampton Concert Band on what will be such an enjoyable evening for all. Funds raised will help us to continue to support over 2,000 children and adults in Northamptonshire that have autism. If you include their families, autism touches the lives of around 6,000 people every day”.

The concert will be at the Spratton Hall School, Spratton, Northampton NN6 8HP on June 22nd, 2013. The event begins at 7.00pm and tickets are £10 Adults, £6 Child, £28 Family.

Here comes the sun?

Following the Easter break rehearsals have re-started for the busy summer season and Northampton Concert Band has a lot of music to prepare for the concerts ahead.

First up will be a performance at the Abington Park Bandstand on Sunday 26th May 2-5pm where the band will be performing a wide repetoire of music on what will hopefully be a sunny afternoon. This free event is part of the 'Bands in the Park' season funded by Northampton Borough Council.

Then on June 22nd, Northampton Concert Band, in support of Autism Concern, bring you Family Film Favourites. Featuring a wide range of magic moments from movie music that the whole family will enjoy and at the same time helping raise money for this local Northamptonshire charity. Tickes for this concert are available from our Tickets page.

Independence Day will be marked in Wellingborough at St Mary the Virgin, Knox Road, at 7p.m. on Saturday the 6th July as Northampton Concert Band perform a selection of music from American composers or music with a western theme. Spurs and 10 gallon hats are optional. Tickets are £10 available on the door.
